On Sunday 4th November Belfast’s Odyssey Arena was the host to the 2011 MTV EMAS. While hundreds of celebrities turned up hoping to get their hands on a Gong Award, it was Lady Gaga that walked away with the most winning Gongs for; Best Song, Best Female, Best Music Video, and Biggest Fans. Other winners of the night were Katy Perry for Best Live Act, Justin Bieber for Best Pop Act and Best Male, Bruno Mars for Best Newcomer and Best Push, Eminem for Best Hip Hop. Gongs for Best Alternative, and Best World Stage went to Thirty Seconds To Mars, Best Rock went to Linkin Park, Best UK & Ireland went to our favourite Adele and BIGBANG took the Gong for Best Worldwide. But our attention wasn’t focused on who won what, we were more interested in who wore what.
Sporting her trademark bob, Jessie J was our definitely fashion crush of the EMA’s we love how she paired her Falguni & Shane Spring 2012 floor length dress with a pair of white DM’s.
Katy Perry’s ensamble had a modern Grease vibe about it, we especially love her Jeremy Scott sunglasses print dress, and her Jeremy Scott Sandle Shoes. She finished of her outfit with a baby pink studded leather jacket and she even wore a Beans on Toast ring which was given to her by one of her fans while touring in the UK, you can purchase the ring from Punky Allsorts.
Lady Gaga showed off her fabulous figure in this Paco Rabanne floor length metallic gown. Her make up just adds to the futuristic look.
Even the guys didn’t disappoint us on the fashion front, we love all the style they had to offer on the Pink Carpet.
Rizzle Kicks looked like a pair of typical London boys, wearing a Ralph Lauren jacket with a pair of Nike Trainers, and dressing a navy suit down with a green flat cap.
Jason Derulo looked super sexy, in a pair of skinny jeans tucked into ankle fur trimmed boots. We LOVE his leather jacket and embellished belt. But we’re not sure on the beard it might be time take a trip to the barbers.
Coldplay rocked the Pink Carpet in distressed high tops, statement jeans and a mixture of cool and casual shirts, and jackets. Their outfits looked effortless and thrown together but worked perfectly. Our favourite part of their outfits has to be the Remembrance Day Poppies which they had pinned to their jackets.
So from the performances, to the awards. All we were really interested in was the fashion.
