Every season there seems to be a couple of hair trends that stand out from the rest and that every one wants to try. For Fall 2011 it is no exception, the hottest hair trends right now are so easy to achieve and can be done in a matter of minutes in your own bedroom. Here’s a quick how to guide….
Step 1 - Using a brush tightly gather all of your hair into a ponytail a the crown of your head, make sure there are no bumps or stray hairs before you secure with a hair elastic (you can use two elastics for extra support a strong base is key for a ballerina bun).
Step 2 - You can either spray your hair with hairspray to hold it in place or you can alternatively brush a little bit of gel through the ponytail and on top of your head to leave you with a super soft look at the end.
Step 3 - You need to wrap your hair around the base of the pony tail to create your ballerina bun (you can either twist the ponytail or to shake your ballerina bun up a little bit you can plait the ponytail before you wrap it around the base for an alternative look.
Step 4 - Before you secure your bun with bobby pins make sure that any strays and ends are tucked under to leave your bun looking seriously chic.
Step 5 - Last but not least, spray to your hearts content to hold your catwalk worthy hairstyle in place.
Step 1 - Once you have brushed your hair spray from roots to tips with a strong (ish) hairspray this will give the hair more hold and therefore make it easier for you to style.
Step 2 - Gather your hair at the nape of your neck, at this point you can either use a brush to ensure the hair on top is tight with no lumps or bumps and sleek or back comb under the hair around the front of your head to add volume (but don’t forget to smooth the top of your hair down after and spray with hairspray to hold in place) then secure your ponytail with a hair elastic.
Step 3 - Spray a generous amount of hairspray to hold your style in place, if you are having the ponytail on the top tight you can apply hair gel instead to leave the hair looking smoother.
* A great tip if you don’t want your hair elastic to showing is to take a small section of your hair and wrap it around to cover the elastic then secure with a bobby pin.
